Learning Korean, watching the Euros while eating cheese fondue, birthday celebrations, climbing sessions, jamming on the guitar, génépi-fuelled card games, hiking Mont Joly (twice, in Suzi’s case), ridiculously delicious curries, Hungarian Lecso, Polish potato cakes and more… playing-word-games-sitting-on-scaffolding-placing-hempcrete, animated discussions about natural building materials and methods… what an amazing summer it’s been since our first volunteer arrived in early June (he’s still here): the most joyful and generous sharing experience, and it’s not over yet – thank you to everyone!
From well-travelled Workawayers to architects, civil engineers, natural builders and lime plasterers, from 14 countries so far and counting, everyone has brought so much to the group and made us all richer.
We are humbled by the valuable practical skills and awesome attitudes and how hard it is to get everyone to stop working for the day and we’ll be forever grateful for every single person’s help in building this house and hope you’ll all be back to stay here once it’s built. See you all next year for the reunion party!
